Day 3-Cheerios!
I'm currently on Day 3 of this little no fast food adventure and so far it really hasn't been that difficult. I'm sure later I'm going to eat those words later, (pun intended).
So yesterday, I went out shopping with my friend Courtney who by the way is an amazing bargain shopper. (Translation: She's not coupon crazy but she helps people save $ and that translates to more $ for other things). So we shopped for most of the afternoon, went to three different grocery stores, and a new chocolate shop she wanted to show me (sorry, its not on the list and I only had 2 pieces). It started getting pretty late in the day and my friend needed to head home, so she took me back to my car. She headed home, and I headed for more shopping :)!
I had a few items to pick up at Hobby Lobby and then a few more places to go before my day was done. Nothing like a Saturday shop-a-thon! It was 5:30ish maybe close to 6:00 p.m. and I was getting hungry!!! I'd just bought all these groceries so I couldn't justify a stop at Panera and no way was I going to break the fast food fun on day 2.....so what did I do??? Well, I pulled my car into the fist gas station I saw, opened my trunk, pillaged through the bags until I found the apple cinnamon Cheerios and promptly placed them in the passenger seat. Snack time. Unfortunately I quickly found that they had a tendency to fall over (no comments about my driving)...so I buckled them in. I have no doubt in my mind that if anyone looked in my car, especially while it was parked in the parking lot, they'd have gotten a kick out of a box of bright green apple cinnamon Cheerios all buckled up. Hah! In hindsight, I should have taken a picture. Maybe next time.
Crisis averted, will probably start carrying an emergency kit of trail mix and Cheerios in my car from here on out and by emergency I mean whenever I'm hungry :).
P.S.. tomorrow is technically a holiday...so if you see me at Chick-fil-A just know that those Cheerios didn't last long.
